Corellia

Corellia is a possible playable planet. The earlier video from GameSpot shows sheet music with Corellia Intro (or) Corellia Bkrnd_03. It can be clearly seen @ 4:32.

Anyone who played SWG in the past will remeber this planet and the city Coronet. Which was a major focus point of many a quest.

Corellia (in SWG anyway) had both Alliance & Imperial strongholds, something that would fit well in TOR with the instanced PvP zones.

A big shout out to Chronium from SWTOR forums for posting this and the screen to go with it.

Sounds of The Old Republic

A new Dev blog up on this Fridays update, all about sounds, music, voices you name it. Its a good read check it out Here

Blood of the Empire #7

The latest installment of the web comic is up grab it Here

Dev Dispatch 7 - Music

The music sounds like Starwars, just what we would expect. But this short video holds so much more.
There is new screens, new footage of planets and many many more tip bits. No doubt this video will be taken apart bit by bit.
The planets themselves seem to have more detail than what has been shown before.
I'm sure we will see a great deal of information dragged out of this 1 for sure, enjoy.

Star Wars Subway Car

This little video though totally un-TOR related warrants a post, for its pure epic-ness.

It really has to rate high on a fan made epic-ness charts.

TOR @ Comic-Con International!

SeanDahlberg

Comic-Con International is coming to San Diego, California! Meet up with The Old Republic team at the panel entitled “Beyond Solo: Crafting the Multiplayer Story in Star Wars™: The Old Republic™” on July 23rd from 1:00 to 2:00pm in Room 7AB. Morgan Webb (G4’s X-Play) moderates a discussion with James Ohlen (Studio Creative Director and Lead Designer, BioWare), Drew Karpyshyn (Principal Writer, BioWare), and Alexander Freed (Managing Editor, BioWare) about the creation of the multiplayer, planet-spanning story in Star Wars: The Old Republic. While much attention has been paid to the unique individual stories of each of the eight classes in the game, the team is excited to share their approach to the broader stories players will experience in The Old Republic.

Other things going on at Comic-Con for The Old Republic:
  • Blood of the Empire signing by Alexander Freed at the Dark Horse booth
  • “Hope” Cinematic Trailer displayed at the Star Wars™ booth
And don’t forget, Friday, July 23rd is Star Wars Day! Arrive dressed as your favorite class or character from The Old Republic to show your support!
Now at 1st glance I got a bit excited at the title, well 1 word "Crafting".

But after a few moments taken it in the context, Crafting the STORY!!!
Does BW really think we don't get it yet ?
That TOR is about story ?

Friday Update 2nd July

Another Late Friday update

SeanDahlberg
As I'm sure a few people have noticed, we have not posted our update today yet. I come to bring you a little bit of bad news...

... today's update will be another hour or two before it's posted. What is it? It is our final video from E3!

Anyways, wanted to make sure everyone was updated as to what's going on. We're getting everything ready now. So, hang tight and you'll get your weekly dose of TOR soon!
The only thing that need to be asked is this a new video or something we have already seen ?

Darth Haters- Dissected: E3 Content

Why not head over to Darth Hater's Site, they have another great dissection of videos from E3.

Blizzard discuss making World of Warcraft free

Looking through the passage it really seems WOW is on the back foot for the 1st time. TOR coming spring 2011 looks to be at the fore front of WOW's so called turn around.
SWTOR has yet to release any kind of pricing plan, it has EA already in a panic.

I would not expect WOW to come to a decision Until a BW + LA come up with a price for there game, and if its subs or MT's. Also how much of a chunk of WOW's domination of the West's gaming community it takes.

WOW sub's seem to have peaked at 11.5 million, and has stagnated there for some time.

Lets hope this forces EA hand to make the game better instead of giving the same updates over and over again.
