Trooper Love Friday

As we thought its Trooper Love Friday WOOP!!!

So much to dive into, screens, companion and ship as well as a heap load of other stuff. This my friends is why my x-mas will be a magical 1 :)

Always on the front lines of battle against the Empire, Troopers seize every tactical advantage at their disposal to defend the Republic. With combat experience and intense training, Troopers can specialize to increase their battlefield prowess. The Trooper’s Advanced Classes will allow you to customize your Trooper to match your desired playstyle: improve your Trooper’s defensive tactics and capabilities to become a nearly unstoppable Vanguard, or go all-out on offense and become a deadly Commando.
In addition, several other details about the Trooper class are now available:

Time To Reflect

I've been thinking of doing this post for a few weeks to reflect on TOR in the past year, this blog from its humble beginnings and self centered reasons behind it, and also the good friends I have made along the way.

Yet before I did a little back tracking to see what stood out from the year before, Darth Hater posted a great post on there site. Do go over and check it out. Some good interviews, posts and other good stuff from this years trinkets that BW have released.

But this year was not all flowers and rainbows.

The Trooper Has Arived

At long last, the time has come to see the class I shall roll when TOR hits.

Even since I rolled out a Commando in SWG, and heard the whispers about TOR. I came to the understanding that I would roll my 1st class and a BFG power house that we now fondly have come to know as the Trooper.

It has taken many moons for this 1 video to come around, and I aint disappointed. I just cant help getting that warm fuzzy feeling seeing the big gun at the end. Oh how it takes me back to the good old days.
Just need a flame thrower now and I for one would be in heaven.

Tonight I dream of carnage, and endless body's of Sith underfoot.

Friday - Fan Stuff

Another fan Friday hits SWTOR and normally I do not get a good buzz about them.
Yet we see the fans of TOR showing some great talent again.

Also with the mass amount of info from the hands-on time from early in the week, I find myself in unfamiliar territory. In fact I quite enjoyed this latest blast from the fans.

You can also find the normal screens, smiley's and some avatars as well as the 1st Q&A from the devs.

All in all not a bad Fan Friday, and with the great info from many site from the hands-on time I'm peacefully satisfied.

7 More Do The 5 Hour Hands On Review Of TOR

As my last post of a 5 hour game time hands on with IGN.
I did a little pocking around, and as you would expect there were not the only 1's to get some game time.

p.s Be warned lots to read if you continue onwards.

Well I have turned up a few sites that have indeed had the game time, these include are very own ToroCast and Darth Hater. So lets get on with it, oh and do put away some time to get though them.

ToroCast - Has a podcast up and a few posts from Brandon's hands on time.
Darth Hater - Has done a full frontal assault on time on classes and even had time to post a few interviews.
mmorpg.com - Also has interviews that are very interesting as well as time on reviews.

Here's more with the same, many links much time reading all good fun :)

Estimated reading time for all, well who really is going to count ?
If you follow TOR its 1 of those things you don't even think about. Good luck all.

IGN's Hands On Looking Good

IGN got a full 5 hours!!! of hands on time. Oh the envy, well it does look like TOR is turning a very long corner and the game its starting to see the polish.

Darn I need some game time bad :)

Find the full report here. Good reading.

My Hopes For Crafting

With the recent meaty updates about crafting, I have has a fair amount of time to ponder over and imagine how crafting will work.

Being a dedicated crafter above all, as well as doing other end game content raids and an over whelming desire to be among the top on the PvP charts. I'm getting more and more excited about the way the TOR Crafting system will turnout.

Fridays Update

This Fridays update brings us another time line.

Now normally I find these very interesting, though this time I find it hard to see why. Not being a lore junkie, I do like to see time lines. This 1 however failed to perk my interest at all.

I'm sure when the game is in full swing, I'll look back and think oh yeh, thats why this time line makes sense. But without the benefit the hindsight, I struggle to be overwhelmed like the other time lines have shown.

The only positive side to all this, would be when or if you can unlock a quest to make this video make sense.
I assume this could be a possible flash point, that you would run into when your not flying your ship(if you know what I mean).

All in all, a very strange update. But vastly better than some we have had of late, if there is any hidden gems in this video it is well and truly invisible.

Darn The WOW Posts

Anyone in and around the SWTOR forums will have noticed the vast amount of WOW related posts, and have also seen a great increase of late with there latest face lift.

Well frankly I for 1 am quite sick of it.

BW should have put in place a long time ago, a sub forum in the off topic section of the forums. Some are loving it, others see it as I do, just another face lift and a few extra lvls and some more shinny armer parts.

Anyone who has seen my Sig in the forums, can see my utter distaste for WOW and every thing about it. So why do I have to put up with topics in the main part of the TOR related forums ?

Time To Serve

Now Dec has rolled around yet again, I'm casting my eye on the year ahead. And for the 1st time I am looking to which server I would play in TOR.

I normally don't have an issue on what server I will play, but TOR has me confused a little. 1st we don't know the there will be PvE/PvP/RP or just named zoned server types.
TOR being a Star Wars game, it can be taken as a given that PvP will come along no matter which server type is available.

2 of the main games I've spent a great deal of time on where Ultima Online and SWG. Both of these had named servers and I just went with a good population size, and never thought about which time zone they were in.
